Socio-Emotional Competencies: an essential advantage for the future
In a world where translation no longer represents merely the transfer of linguistic meaning, but also entails cultural negotiation, contextual sensitivity, and relational nuance, socio-emotional competencies become essential for professionals in the field of the humanities. The workshop will address key competencies such as self-awareness, empathy, emotional regulation, and flexibility, highlighting their role in both academic and professional trajectories, including contexts such as translation and intercultural communication. Through concrete examples and interactive exercises, participants will explore how these internal resources influence performance, relationships, and the way individuals relate to their own future, while gaining perspectives and practical tools to support their personal and professional development.
Daniela Dumulescu, Ph.D., is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca and a psychological counselor within the same institution. She is a trainer and educational consultant involved in a wide range of projects, with experience in designing training programs for diverse target groups.
She has been part of teams engaged in over 15 applied projects focused on psychoeducational and vocational development strategies for teachers, children, adolescents, and young people, implemented by various national and international organizations. As a speaker, she explores topics related to values, meaning, adaptability, and socio-emotional development.
She is appreciated for her authentic, clear, and insightful style, which fosters genuine connections with audiences and encourages reflection.
